Our Beliefs
As a congregation of the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod (LCMS), we hold to the following beliefs:
- Scripture: We believe the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God, the sole source of truth for faith and life.
- The Trinity: We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- Jesus Christ: We believe that Jesus Christ, true God and true man, is the Savior of the world, whose death and resurrection bring salvation to all who believe.
- Grace Alone: We believe that we are saved solely by God’s grace, not by our works.
- Faith Alone: We believe that faith in Jesus Christ alone is what justifies us before God.
- The Sacraments: We believe in the power of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper as means through which God offers and seals His grace.
- The Church: We believe the Church is the body of Christ, gathered around the Word and Sacraments to proclaim the Gospel and serve in love.
- Marriage: We believe that marriage is a sacred union, lifelong union between one man and one woman reflecting the relationship between Christ and His church.
- Life: We believe all human life is sacred, from conception to natural death as each person is created in the image of God.
- Sexuality: We believe God created humanity in His image, making us male and female.
